Positive Affrimations VS Bible Affirmations

What is the difference between Positive Affirmations and Bible Affirmations?

Popular Culture tells us to use positive affirmations to change our state of mind because "as we think so we are" "when you change your mindset, you change your life"

That's true. Positive affirmations can bring us closer to the person we think we are. The strong person, the productive person, the one who is capable.

But Positive Affirmations teach us to lean on our own strength, our own ability and our own understanding which is limited.

Affirmations affirm us, they shape our perspectives and help us to focus on the good in us. They help us focus on our ability to do positive things.

Bible affirmations help us to lean on God, who He is and who he says we are.

When we turn to the Bible and look at all of God's promises and all the ways that He affirms us, we lean on Him. His understanding, his strength and his power which is beyond measure. We tap into an infinite power that is more capable than we ever could be.

How we identify ourselves is completely different from who God says we are.

Our thoughts on who we are and what we are capable of being so small compared to what our maker things of us.

Bible Affirmations affirm us of who God says we are.

Let’s take a break from trying to define yourself, instead turn to the word and what how the maker defines you.
